Focus on Surgical Processing to Step Ahead!
At Dover Business College, we offer programs that let you focus on what you need to succeed in the world of health care. Our Surgical Processing Technician program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to receive and process supplies and equipment from operating rooms and nursing units throughout the hospital. Since the Surgical Processing Department, also known as Central Service and Sterile Processing, provides vital support to all areas of patient care, and interacts with personnel from all areas of the hospital, the surgical processing department of a healthcare facility is the center of all activity involving supplies and equipment needed for surgery and other patient care areas.
Discover the Dover Difference!
State-of-the-art medical and operating room equipment are utilized in the teaching/learning process. The program emphasizes:
- Clinical Practicums

As a graduate you will have a fully rounded understanding of the competencies that will help you perform successfully in hospitals, offices and clinics of physicians, outpatient care centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, veterinarian offices, and surgical instrumentation corporations.
Graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) examination as the program meets the requirements of IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management).
